Description
Dive along the granite boulders of the mole. Take a torch to look in all the nooks and crannies.
Park on the Mole, gear up and clamber over the rocks into the water. Head in either direction. Make sure you don't enter the channel on the north side of the Mole.
Facilities
Parking and public toilet.
Marine Life
On a recent dive here I had two surprises, I saw a large ornate wobbegong shark, Orectolobus ornatus, and a lionfish, Pterois volitans (I have heard other reports of lionfish here). I have also seen western smooth boxfish, Anoplocapros amygdaloides, a stripped catfish ball, Plotosus lineatus, southern baler, Melo miltonis, black cowrie, Cypraea friendii, the red, black and blue nudibranch Chromodoris westraliensis, and a variety of lace corals. Look amongst the kelp for leafy sea dragons, Phycodurus eques, and weedy sea dragons, Phyllopteryx taeniolatus. If you do see a sea dragon don't forget to report your sighting at Dragon Search.
Hazards
Always use a dive flag. Beware of boat traffic. Lookout for hooks and fishing line.
Don't enter the channel. Apart from the obvious dangers, be aware this area is administered by Fremantle Ports, who forbid entry into the channel.

Cobbler, striped catfish and western rock cod all have venomous spines, which can cause painful injuries.
