Description
A very shallow fresh water dive, good for snorkel or to test that new bit of SCUBA gear. Very cold below thermoclyne. BBQ facilities and toilets in park. DEC entrance fees apply.
Marine Life
Home of the Oblong Tortoise (or turtle) Chelodina Oblonga, also known as the Long Neck Turtle. One of only two freshwater turtles in WA (the other being the Western Swamp Turtle).
I have seen turtles every time I have dived here, seeing 4 on my last dive.
Hazards
Tow a dive flag. There is a small tinny that scoots around the lake towing canoes back to shore. EXTREMELY cold in winter!
